Wyclef and Lauryn Hill: Fugees Break up

I started to write something up about Cee-Lo Greens Christmas album thats coming out, but there is something more pressing to me right now.

Wyclef Jean of the Fugees just released his auto biography and in it he shits on Lauryn Hill and blames her for the break up of the Fugees. This disappoints me because they broke up in the 90s and up until now anytime he was interviewed he always had nice things to say about her and that he hoped they could reunite one day. They actually have reunited for performance in both 2004 and 2006. We all know or atleast the informed crown knew that Lauryn Hill and Wyclef had an affair back then and he had a wife at the time and got found out and then the Fugees broke up. I feel like that is all the publuc needed to know but now so much more has been thrown out there.

Wyclef says that Lauryn had mislead him about the paternity of her first born child. She apparently had led him to believe the child was his up until the birth when infact the child was fathered by Bob Marleys son Rohan. He said after that Lauryn could no longer be his muse and the group broke up subsequently after. I have always been a fan of Wyclef but I feel like its notfair for him to say that or even feel that way about it when he was a married man. How dare he do that when he was the one who was married and now to down her like that and blame her for the break up. Perhaps she said it was his because it could have been and she hoped it was>? Just saying.

Either way the world suffered a loss when the Fugees broke up. One of the greatest groups of all time. Lauryn Hill is one of the most talented artists there ever has been. Her album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was critically acclaimed and is still hailed one of the top 10 hip hop albums of all time. Maybe one day she can get her mental issues straight and come back for another album. As for Wyclef , Im still a fan , but Im just disappointed. He is better than that. No one needs to air dirty laundry to the whole world.
